I was born in Clementon, New Jersey. I have three children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. My Dad took pictures with a Brownie camera and developed them himself. As a child I spent a lot of time in nature and have always maintained the curiosity of a child.
In college during the 1970’s, I attended Lycoming College in Pennsylvania and took a black and white film photography class. I had my own little dark room. Watching images appear on the paper was like magic, and I can still remember the smell of the developer! Off and on through the years I continued taking pictures, but as life happened, other things took priority.
My first SLR was a Minolta and first digital camera was a Ricoh 23 megapixel. I am a member of the Merging Hearts Photo Club and the Wilderness Center Photography Club. I have entered images in Merging Hearts Art Gallery shows and the Canton Garden Center. The images in this show were taken with a Sony Bridge camera and an iPad.
I have always been a nature lover and have great respect for Mother Earth. My spiritual beliefs are closely aligned with Native American spirituality and the idea that everything is sacred and spiritual.
Photography gives me an opportunity to be creative, capture the beauty in the world, and find hours of enjoyment. When I travel, photographs add a new dimension to my memories.
This show is the result of visits to sacred places in Europe, The Canary Islands, and Turkey. I have had the wonderful opportunity to walk in ancient lands and experience the energy of these sacred places. It is my honor to share some of these experiences with you.
