“No Mud, No Lotus”
by Ashley Palmer
January 13 – February 24, 2017
Ashley Palmer has been creating art from a very young age. She has taken private art lessons most of her life. Ashley is enrolled as a Studio Arts Major at Kent State University. She is trained formally in all trades of visual art but prefers drawing, digital work, and sculpture the most. Much of her inspiration for this show is drawn from Nature, Metaphysics and Sacred Geometry; many of the concepts and ideas were learned during her Yoga Teacher Training. Her hope is to inspire others through her work and to represent the beauty that can be found after any ounce of struggle. Without the mud, there is no lotus; a concept found in “The Art of Transforming Suffering” by Thich Nhat Hanh.
Join Ashley at the artists’ reception Sunday, January 22 at 12:30 – 2:00 pm.
